For all things gothic, the black page directory is your resource to find what you’re looking for.

We love Mike’s Amazing Cakes. Really, they’re amazing. If you’re looking for a unique, totally customized cake that looks like anything you want it to, Mike’s Amazing Cakes is the place to go. Check out their cakes just to gawk.
Another mind-blowing customized cake bakery, Jet City Cakes is located in the Seattle, Washington area. Creators of such fantastic works as the famed leg lamp from A Christmas Story and a fantastical adaptation of H.R. Giger’s Alien designs (our favorite), their work is a must-see.
For East Coasters, Charm City Cakes is home of incredible customized cakes, both stacked and shaped into any shape you can conjure up from your craziest dreams. Creators of the Millenium Falcon cake and an ancient stack of books by author Edgar Allan Poe (our favorite), Charm City Cakes has a cake for every event, theme, and predilection.
Located in Southern California, Let Them Eat Cake makes some of the most elegant stacked cakes we’ve ever seen. Noteworthy designs include a figured stacked cake with a lean, curvy profile we can’t help but admire, and a Nightmare Before Christmas extravaganza which is, of course, our favorite.

Adobe’s Kuler has a lot of advanced features, including uploading your own photo and picking colors right off the screen. The only disadvantage is, well, there are a lot of advanced features to sift through and figure out how to use. This is meant for designers... but on the other hand, anyone can sift through the many suggestions for palettes, and it’s a great tool for anyone picking a palette.
Here’s another tool for picking color palettes from photos, or for searching through color palettes posted by others.
Color Lovers has more color palettes... and also patterns and discussions of color. Definitely worth a look.
